Asset provenance: what happened to it, who confirmed it, what seals it.
Verified History is the lifetime record of asset provenance: every event, every document, every owner - sealed on upload, graded by who issued it, and shared only on the owner's terms. A record, not a moment, for everything you own.

The demand for asset records, in sourced figures
Context, not Property Vault statistics.
A check tells you about a day. A record tells you about a life.
The ambition is familiar - the way an HPI check works for a car - for everything you own.1 The mechanism differs: a check is one query, one day, one class. Verified History is a provenance record - every event, document and owner, graded by who issued it - summarised by a Vault Score: a verification score - whether the documents exist, who issued them and that they are unaltered since issue; never a valuation, a credit input or a judgement of the work.

Asset provenance in rank order: where the evidence comes from.
Who issued a document matters more than who uploaded it. Events are weighted by issuer class; the weights are published.
Statutory and scheme certificates
The strongest evidence a record can hold: ingestion is issuance.
Registered professionals
Registered by reference to a scheme they already belong to; verified events under issuer terms. Listed but unverified: ×0.8.
The owner
Welcome, dated, sealed - at 0.4. Owner evidence alone cannot pass 65: "nobody independent has confirmed this yet".
Sealed on upload. Readable only by those you choose.
Every document carries proof it has not changed - and the proof is what gets anchored, never the document.
Hashed on upload
The fingerprint is computed on arrival; the document stays in storage.
Integrity receipt issued
Hash plus timestamp, shown on every read.
Originals kept, corrections versioned
A correction is a new version with its own receipt; the original remains.
Anchored to the XRP Ledger
At most one Merkle root a day, on days a record has changed. Launching Integrity anchoring runs as a rehearsal on the XRPL testnet: Merkle roots of keyed commitments are written to the test network, which can be reset, and listed on the public anchor page; mainnet anchoring is on the roadmap, subject to approvals. A record whose manifest has been anchored carries its inclusion proof, checkable at propertyvault.world/verify.html.
What is on the ledger, and what is not
On the XRP Ledger: at most one root hash a day. Not on it: documents, natural keys, personal data, the Vault Score or title. Property Vault never holds keys, client money or physical goods. See security.
The timeline, by asset class.
One stages model for asset provenance - an event, the evidence it requires, who may confirm it, a sealed document behind it. Only the events change by class.

Ownership history stays with the asset. The owner's details do not.
When an asset changes hands, the Vault moves to the new Owner with every event, document and receipt intact.
- The reconciliation rule. For a home, title moves through conveyancing and HM Land Registry; the Vault records that it happened and never performs it.
- The statutory register wins. If the Vault or any pointer token on the ledger disagrees with it, the Vault is corrected. A pointer is never title.
- No toll on your own record. Transfer costs the Owner nothing; no pointer token carries a transfer fee.
Four things, under a scope. Nothing more.
Every read is under a scope the Owner granted: verified provenance the record can stand behind, and a plain statement where it cannot.
The Vault Score
Never a valuation: a fully documented house can still have live subsidence.
The methodEvents, with issuer class
What happened, when, and which class of issuer confirmed it.
Sealed documents, where the scope allows
Scopes hide documents, not history: each role sees the documents its job needs, and opens are logged.
A plain "no record" statement
Until coverage exists, absence of a record is uninformative - and the read says so.
Private by default. Read by role, for a time, on the record.
No public lookup by address, registration or serial. A Vault is read under a scope the Owner grants - role-limited, time-limited, opens logged.

Built in the form the reader accepts.
Home Information Packs were suspended on 21 May 2010 (gov.uk). Buyers' solicitors and lenders would not rely on seller-commissioned packs and re-ordered them. A record only works in the form the buyer's solicitor accepts.
That is the test Verified History must pass. The reader who matters carries the liability - conveyancer, lender's valuer, claims handler, auction house. So evidence stays in the issuer's own form, issuer named, and the Sale-Ready Passport - launching in Yorkshire - answers the questions conveyancers already ask. A passport nobody re-orders is the only one worth building.

Property Vault for homesAsset provenance, answered.
Is this like a car history check?
In ambition, yes. In mechanism, no: a vehicle check queries institutional registers of finance, write-off and theft on one day, and Property Vault holds no such register data. Verified History is the positive record - every event, document and owner, graded by who issued it.
What is asset provenance, and how does Verified History record it?
Asset provenance is the documented chain of an asset's origin, ownership and the events in its life: who made or built it, who has owned it, what was done to it and who confirmed each step. Verified History records that chain as events and sealed documents, each graded by the class of its issuer, and shares it only under the owner's scope. It is not provenance tracking in the sense of a live feed: an event enters the record when it is issued, with its evidence, and stays there through every change of owner. The verification score summarises how well that chain is evidenced.
Who verifies the record?
The parties who already carry the authority: scheme and statutory bodies first, then registered professionals. Property Vault grades and seals the evidence; it never inspects the asset or judges the work.
Can an owner fake it?
An Owner can upload anything, but cannot change what it is worth to the record: owner evidence is weighted 0.4 and capped at 65, every file is hashed on upload, and every event shows its issuer class. A forged invoice stays an owner-provided document; it never becomes a scheme certificate.
Can anyone look up my house?
No. There is no public lookup by address, registration or serial. A Vault is read only under a scope the Owner grants - role-limited, time-limited and logged. The only public record is one demonstration record.
What happens when I sell?
The Vault transfers to the new Owner with every event, document and receipt intact; your personal details do not. Title still moves through conveyancing and HM Land Registry; the Vault records that it happened. Transferring your own record costs nothing.
