Blog

The provenance and tokenisation blog.

Notes on identity, evidence and ownership from the people building the identity layer for the world's assets. How the property records and provenance behind homes, cars and watches work, where they fail, and what the XRP Ledger changes.

Articles

Nine articles, one question each.

Each answers one question an owner, a buyer or a lender asks. Every figure carries its publisher and date.

Homes

Is there an HPI check for a house?

Every used-car buyer knows the check. Buy a house and nothing like it exists - why, what a buyer's solicitor asks for, why Home Information Packs failed and what a home record needs.

The ledger

How asset tokenisation works on the XRP Ledger - and why the record comes first.

A plain-English tour of the primitives: anchoring a hash, a pointer token that is never a deed, fractions only through a regulated issuer, and what stays off-ledger. Describes plans; not an offer or a financial promotion.

Why your watch needs a digital identity - a private one.

Stolen registers and brand passports leave the pre-owned owner nothing to show, and a public register would be a shopping list for thieves. What a private, verified watch record holds and what transfers at sale.

How to check if a watch is stolen - and why a clean check is not proof you own it

Search the serial on The Watch Register and Enquirus, read what box and papers can and cannot show, know the law if you buy a stolen watch, and then ask the one question no register answers: does the seller own it?

How to tell if a document has been altered: hashes, seals and what a PDF cannot tell you

How we write about provenance and tokenisation

Sourced

Every figure carries its publisher and date in the sentence. No source, no number.

Status in the sentence

What exists is "live in pilot". What is next is "launching". What needs partners or approvals says so.

Never a promotion

Nothing here is an offer. Markets and tokenisation are explained, never sold.

Topics

What the provenance and tokenisation blog covers, and where each topic lives on the site.

Every article argues one point; the product pages carry the facts and the status. Start with the topic, then read the page that owns it.

Asset identity

One permanent identifier per asset, created against a natural key and kept when the asset changes hands. Read how a digital asset identity works, from UPRN to serial number.

Verified provenance

A record is only as good as who issued each document. The asset provenance page explains sealed documents, issuer grading and the Vault Score behind them.

Property records

Completion certificates, scheme certificates and works history, and why a buyer's solicitor asks for them. The property history report page sets out what a home's Vault holds.

XRP Ledger guides

Pointer tokens, daily anchoring and what never goes on-ledger, in plain English. The asset tokenisation platform page carries the status of each step; the testnet tokenise-to-lend demonstration shows a recorded run with no real money.

Watches and vehicles

Watches and jewellery are the next class, then Vehicles, each launching with the partners who register it. See watch provenance and classic car history.
