Consumable Collectables · Roadmap · subject to approvals

Whisky cask ownership
and cellars, with their history sealed in.

Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Napa, Barolo; Scotch and Japanese whisky casks, bourbon, cognac, armagnac, rum, tequila. Whisky cask ownership rests on a distillery, a cask number, an age, a volume, an ABV, a warehouse, a delivery order, a valuation and a maturation history - a Vault was made for it. Wine collections carry their storage, condition and fine wine provenance the same way.

What the Vault holds

Whisky cask delivery order, regauges and invoice, in one place the owner controls.

Natural keys stay off-chain. No public lookup by cask number. Cellar records - storage conditions, condition reports and purchase invoices - follow the same shape for wine.

Who registers, who reads

Issued by the trade. Read under scope.

Collectors own the Vault and grant every scope; opens are logged.

Who registers

  • Distilleries - the fill.
  • Bonded warehouses - receipts, regauges, transfers. The delivery order from the warehouse is the document the trade acts on; a broker's cask ownership certificate is not a substitute. The Vault seals both and labels who issued each.
  • Brokers and merchants - the sale record, through the Provenance Passport.
  • Fine-wine storage providers - condition reports.

Who reads, under scope

  • Insurers - the record at claim: insurance claim evidence through the Claim Evidence Report.
  • Buyers - the cask's chain, not the collector.
  • Lenders - the documents beside the valuation, under a collateral verification scope.
  • Executors - the cellar, catalogued.
Verified History and Vault Score for this class

Whisky cask ownership stages, one published engine.

Vault Score is a verification score - whether the documents exist, who issued them and that they are unaltered since issue; never a valuation, a credit input or a judgement of the work.

How Verified History builds whisky cask provenance
Tokenise and finance

A cask represented through a regulated issuer. A cellar a lender can read.

Property Vault Markets - tokenised ownership, collateral and lending for verified real-world assets on the XRP Ledger - launches through regulated partners, subject to regulatory approvals. A pointer token that follows a Vault ID is a pointer to the record, never title. Roadmap · subject to approvals

Structures served

  • Whole, as a pointer; or fractional, through an SPV or trust, by an FCA-authorised issuer or Digital Securities Sandbox participant
  • Lending against a verified cask or collection, through regulated lenders

Cask and wine schemes attract regulator warnings. The Vault is the record, never the scheme; it sells nothing.

Property Vault supplies the record and eligibility data; it never hosts an offer, runs a venue, holds keys or goods, or moves money. How a pointer token works is on the asset tokenisation platform page.

Market context

Sold on paper. Never leaves the warehouse.

No market size is quoted until we have a source we would stand behind.

The cask stays in bond

Ownership moves by delivery order; the cask does not.

The asset changes while it sleeps

Evaporation lowers the volume. Without dated regauges, figures are a claim.

Provenance is a paper trail

Storage reports and invoices sit apart until a Vault seals them together.

Questions

Whisky cask ownership questions.

What cask owners, collectors, merchants and executors ask about keeping a cask or cellar in a Vault.

What proves whisky cask ownership?

The delivery order from the bonded warehouse, in the owner's name, together with the warehouse receipt and the purchase invoice. A Vault holds all three, hashed on upload with an integrity receipt, beside every regauge since the fill - so the cask is proven by sealed documents, not by a seller's word.

Is a cask ownership certificate the same as a delivery order?

No. A certificate is issued by the seller or broker; the delivery order is issued by the warehouse that holds the cask and is the document it acts on. The Vault records both and labels who issued each, so a buyer, insurer or executor sees the difference at a glance.

How does the Vault handle regauges?

Each regauge is a dated, sealed measurement - bulk litres, ABV and regauged litres of alcohol - issued by the warehouse and weighted 0.9 as a registered professional's document. Evaporation lowers the volume while the cask sleeps, so a figure without a dated regauge is a claim, not a record.

Does the record work for wine as well as spirits?

Yes. Fine wine provenance follows the same shape: lot and case identifiers, purchase invoices, storage-condition reports from the fine-wine storage provider, condition reports and valuations, each sealed on upload. Cellar records are catalogued the same way, so an executor or buyer reads one Verified History rather than a box of receipts.

Does Property Vault sell casks or wine?

No. Property Vault is the record, never the scheme or the seller: it sells nothing, holds no casks, keys or money and never hosts an offer. Tokenised or fractional ownership of a cask would be offered only by an FCA-authorised issuer or Digital Securities Sandbox participant - launching through regulated partners, subject to regulatory approvals.

Is my cask or cellar visible to anyone?

No. There is no public lookup by cask number or lot. The owner grants every scope - a broker for a sale, an insurer at claim, a regulated lender beside a valuation, an executor for the cellar - each time-limited and logged.
