Settle on insurance claim evidence the policyholder can actually find.
The Claim Evidence Report: evidence of ownership, value and condition at first notification of loss - sealed documents, issuer references and a Vault Score, read under an insurer scope that is live in pilot. For homes today; for watches, jewellery, art and vehicles as those classes open.
The record earns its keep at first notification of loss.
For contents and valuables the value of a record is at the claim, not at underwriting. A policyholder who can produce insurance claim evidence - ownership, value and condition - on the first call can be settled faster, with less leakage.
Proof at first notification
Ownership, value and condition sealed before the loss, each document carrying its upload date and its issuer. The handler reads it in the first conversation, not after the fourth letter.
Less leakage, shorter settlement
A valuation issued by a named professional and unaltered since issue leaves little to argue about. Fewer rounds of "send us anything you have"; fewer provisional settlements reopened.
Recovery through the registers' own processes
When a specified item is stolen, its serial, photographs and sealed valuation are already in one place for the police report and the stolen-register entry - made through those registers' own processes.
The fraud number is real. The slice we address is unmeasured.
Periodic valuations are already a condition. The Claim Evidence Report keeps them where they can be found.
High-net-worth policies already require specified items to be professionally valued at intervals. The valuation exists. The problem is where it lives: an inbox, a drawer, a broker's file from two renewals ago.
- The valuer is the issuer of record, not merely the uploader.
- Hashed on upload with an integrity receipt; corrections stored as new versions, never over the original.
- Revaluations stack in the Verified History; the earlier one is kept.
- The mid-market gets the same mechanism: proof assembled before the loss, not demanded after it.
The specified-item schedule becomes a positive register - one the policyholder owns.
When you specify a watch, a ring or a picture, you already hold its serial, its valuation and usually a photograph. The Claim Evidence Report (launching) lets you push that schedule entry into a Vault the policyholder owns.
Specify the item
Serial or hallmark, sum insured, photograph, policy reference - as collected today.
Push it into their Vault
A sealed, insurer-issued event on the item's PV-GB-… Vault ID, with your Organisation named as issuer.
Held for the life of the item
Portable between insurers, dealers and heirs. Private by default - nothing is searchable by serial.
Opened at the claim
Under an insurer scope the Owner grants, time-limited and logged. The entry you issued is the entry you settle on.
This is the mechanism that made vehicle data useful: parties with money at risk register what they know, and the trade reads it at the transaction - the way an HPI check works for a car - for everything you own.1 Pre-owned luxury mostly has only the negative half: one UK register holds about £1.7bn of lost or stolen watches and ran 280,000+ checks in a year (The Watch Register via WatchPro / Robb Report, Feb 2026). The positive half - what exists, who valued it, who insures it - is created by the party protecting its money. That is you.
Live in pilot Property Launching Luxury, next
Luxury - watches and jewellery - is the next class after Property, launching with registering partners. Property · Luxury
What the loss adjuster sees under the insurer scope: the evidence, its issuer, and nothing you did not ask for.
A scope is read access the Owner grants to your Organisation - role-limited, time-limited, opens logged. It hides documents, not history: the timeline is always complete.
In scope Live in pilot
- Ownership - the title or purchase evidence the Owner has released, dated.
- Value - valuations and schedule entries, each naming its issuer.
- Condition - surveys, photographs and works, sealed before the loss.
- Sealed documents with integrity receipts - hash and timestamp proving nothing has changed.
- Issuer class on every event - Building Control, registered professional, firm or owner-provided.
- The Vault Score - a verification score - whether the documents exist, who issued them and that they are unaltered since issue; never a valuation, a credit input or a judgement of the work.
Outside scope By design
- Documents the Owner has not released - the handler sees that an event exists, not its file.
- The policyholder's other assets. One scope, one Vault.
- Any public lookup. Nothing is searchable by address, serial or registration.
- Anything after expiry. Scopes end; the Owner can grant a new one.
Three ways to read insurance claim evidence, in the order they exist.
Insurer scope Live in pilot
The policyholder grants your Organisation a time-limited insurer-surveyor scope from their Vault. Your handler opens it in a browser. Working today for homes at propertyvault.world/homes. An Owner requesting a Claim Evidence Report from their Vault for a named insurer is launching with owner accounts.
Your claims platforms and data pipes Launching
Where your team consumes evidence through a claims-management platform, a counter-fraud database or a data bureau, the Claim Evidence Report is designed to arrive through that pipe, not another login. An integration is named here the day it is signed.
The Vault API Launching early access
Scoped reads for handlers, registered-professional writes for your valuers and adjusters, signed webhooks when a new sealed document lands on a specified item - identifiers only, never the policyholder's name or address - the property data API, early access by request.

Insurance claim evidence: what claims teams ask us.
How does insurance claims verification work with Property Vault?
The policyholder grants your Organisation a time-limited insurer scope from their Vault. Your handler reads the ownership, value and condition evidence the Owner has released, each document sealed with an integrity receipt and naming its issuer. Opens are logged; the scope expires on the date the Owner set. The insurer-surveyor scope is live in pilot for homes.
What counts as insurance claim proof of ownership?
Whatever the Owner sealed before the loss: title or purchase evidence, receipts, photographs, valuations and your own specified-item schedule entry. Each carries its upload date, its issuer class and a hash proving it is unaltered since sealing - a tamper-evident document. The record says what exists and who issued it; the claims decision stays yours.
Can a claims handler look up a policyholder's assets?
No. Nothing is searchable by address, serial or registration. One scope opens one Vault, and only the documents the Owner released; the handler sees that other events exist, not their files.
Does the Claim Evidence Report reduce claims fraud?
No published figure isolates claims that stall because the policyholder cannot prove what they owned, and we will not invent one. The report is built for evidence quality and settlement time. Detected UK general-insurance fraud was £1.34bn in 2025, motor £625m (ABI, Oct 2026) - context, not the business case.
Is the Vault Score a claims validation score?
No. It is a verification score - whether the documents exist, who issued them and that they are unaltered since issue; never a valuation, a credit input or a judgement of the work. It does not assess the claim, the policyholder or the loss.
Which asset classes does insurance claim evidence cover?
Homes are live in pilot - see the property history report each Vault holds. Watches and jewellery are the next class, then Vehicles with their classic car history, each launching with the partners who register it; art and the other classes are designed for.
