Property Vault Pro · Provenance Passport Launching

Auction house provenance and dealer records that sell with the item.

The Provenance Passport: your authentication, condition report and service evidence - provenance documentation sealed into a Vault the buyer owns and can show the next buyer, their insurer and the police - with your name on it. For watch, jewellery, car, art, wine and collectables dealers and for auction houses.

Why a dealer issues

You already own the trust moment.

Stolen registers say what is stolen. Brand passports cover new goods inside the brand's app. Pre-owned trust is delivered by you, at the counter - then the buyer leaves with a paper receipt. The Provenance Passport makes that moment portable, with your name on it - dealer provenance records that outlast the receipt.

At the sale

You seal the evidence

Authentication, condition and service reports are hashed on upload and receipted. Your dealership is named as issuer on each.

In the buyer's hands

The buyer controls the Vault

They show it to their insurer, to the police if it is taken, and to the next buyer - under scopes they grant and revoke. No public lookup by serial; opens are logged.

At the next sale

It comes back to you

Every reader sees who authenticated and serviced the item - a referral you did not have to ask for, attached to the asset for life. Sold with the item, not given away.

How it works

Four steps from the counter to the next owner.

A Property Vault Pro workflow: register once, issue per item, and the record does the rest.

  1. Register as a professional

Your dealership registers by reference to a trade body or scheme it already belongs to, under issuer terms, and issues at weight 0.9.

  2. Seal the reports

Create the item's Vault - one Vault ID; serial or chassis held off-chain - and upload the authentication, condition and service reports. Each is hashed and receipted.

  3. Hand the Vault to the buyer

At completion the buyer becomes the Owner and controls who reads it. You remain the named issuer of everything you sealed; it can be added to, never edited.

  4. Transfer keeps it attached

When the item changes hands again the Verified History moves with it and your Passport stays in place; a later owner grants a scope in minutes.

Integrity anchoring is in rehearsal on the XRPL testnet; mainnet on the roadmap, subject to approvals. Property Vault never holds keys, client money or physical goods. Dealer management systems connect through the Vault API (launching; early access by request): create the item's Vault, upload sealed reports, issue - and receive signed webhooks. An Owner requesting a Provenance Passport from their Vault for a named dealer or auction house is launching with owner accounts.

For auction houses and consignment

Auction provenance research before the catalogue: consignment and lot diligence.

Auction house provenance starts with the consignor: ask them to share their Vault under a time-limited scope and read the whole history before you accept the lot - who issued each document, when, and where the gaps are.

  • Every event graded by issuer: scheme, registered professional, firm or owner-provided.
  • Gaps shown as gaps - years with no sealed evidence are visible, not smoothed over.
  • The hammer falls; the buyer receives the Vault with your condition report sealed and your house named as issuer.

The Vault Score beside the record is a verification score - whether the documents exist, who issued them and that they are unaltered since issue; never a valuation, a credit input or a judgement of the work. Its rules and weights are published. Your specialists still decide the estimate and the attribution.

Four scopes are live in the Homes pilot - owner, agent-buyer, insurer-surveyor and solicitor; an auction scope is next.

By class

Dealer provenance records: one Passport, five trades.

The Vault ID, sealed documents, Vault Score and transfer stay constant; the natural key changes. Watches and jewellery are the next class, then Vehicles - each launching with the partners who register it; every other class is designed for - register interest.

Markets, when it comes

Verified lots are the eligible lots.

When Property Vault Markets launches through regulated partners, subject to regulatory approvals, the lots eligible for tokenised ownership through those partners will be the ones with a Verified History and a Vault Score above the issuer's minimum - the lots you certified. Property Vault supplies the record; it never hosts an offer.

Questions

Auction house provenance: what the trade asks us.

What does auction house provenance look like in Property Vault?

A consignor shares the item's Vault under a time-limited scope; your specialists read every sealed document - maker's certificate, dealer authentication, service, condition - with its issuer and date, and see the gaps as gaps. After the hammer the buyer receives the Vault with your condition report sealed and your house named as issuer. The Verified History is the asset provenance, kept for life.

Does it cover pre-owned watch authentication?

Watches and jewellery are the next class after Property, launching with the partners who register it. Your authentication report, condition report and service record are sealed at sale under your name; the serial is held off-chain and nothing is searchable by it. See watch provenance.

Is the Provenance Passport watch dealer software?

It is a workflow inside Property Vault Pro, not a stock system. You keep your dealer management system; it connects through the Vault API, which is launching with early access by request. Pro adds the portfolio view of every Vault your location has issued - the same verified asset records for business every sector reads.

Can a buyer or anyone look up an item by serial?

No. There is no public lookup by serial, chassis or cask number. The buyer controls the Vault and grants scopes to an insurer, the police or the next buyer; every open is logged. Documents are kept as tamper-evident documents, hashed on upload and receipted.

What does a dealer or auction house pay?

One annual fee per shop, showroom or saleroom, agreed with you while the Passport is launching. Owners pay nothing: the buyer's Vault is free, now and on transfer. Reads under scope are included for the location.
